Jenny Oaks Baker started playing the violin 38 years ago. She is a Grammy nominated violinist and has released fourteen albums. She and her family are also performing Friday night at the BYU-Idaho Center as part of The Patriots and Pioneers concert. Even though she has many accomplishments, she said her life is just as crazy as anyone else. "My challenge in life now is balancing everything I do," Baker said. "I have four children and a husband. They are my top priority. Balancing their musical talents and getting ready to perform as well as balancing my responsibilities as a mother that's what I struggle with. I can play anything but just pulling off the crazy life that I lead is my biggest challenge. If I work my hardest and do my best, I know Heavenly Father can make up the difference."

Baker recently came out with her latest album called Awakening. She explained that being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has greatly influenced her work. "My faith is so entwined with my music that it's one in the same," she said. "I'm so grateful to Heavenly Father for strengthening my faith and for all the blessings that he has given me. The gifts that he gave me and continues to give me to be able to accomplish this life that I am leading is pretty incredible. I am so grateful for my testimony and the blessings that the Church brings into my life and the life of my family."
