Five successful entrepreneurs will speak at Brigham Young University-Idaho's College of Business and Communication Entrepreneur Conference on June 18.

Robert C. Gay will be the keynote speaker at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Chapel. Gay is the co-founder and CEO of Huntsman-Gay Capital Partners, a billion-dollar-plus private equity firm located in Palo Alto, Calif.

Sister Robyn Bergstrom, dean of the College of Business and Communication, hopes students take advantage of the opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneurs during the conference panel discussion, breakout sessions and keynote address.

Speakers at the conference will encourage students to consider the possibilities of entrepreneurship. "If you've ever entertained thoughts about starting your own business or being your own boss but didn't know where to begin, the Entrepreneur Conference will have something for you," said Michelle Perroni, a member of the events team.

In addition to Robert Gay, this year's speakers include Michael Ballard, associate at Workman Nydegger, an intellectual property law firm; Richard Christiansen, co-author of Bootstrap Business: A Step-by-Step Business Survival Guide; Elder Kevin R. Duncan, founder of CaseData Corporation; and Michael Glauser, co-founder of Northern Lights Frozen Desserts and Golden Swirl Management Company.

This year's conference will also allow students to discuss entrepreneurship with their peers at a reception after the keynote address. The conference will be held between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the John Taylor Building.
