Statistics released for Spring Semester 2014 at Brigham Young University-Idaho show a total campus enrollment of 12,931 students, a decrease of 7.7 percent from last spring's campus enrollment of 14,007.

This decrease in enrollment reflects the ongoing impact from the change in missionary age eligibility announced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October 2012. Current projections indicate the missionary age change will continue to affect enrollment at BYU-Idaho through the end of 2014.

Enrollment in the university's online courses and degree programs continues to grow, making a BYU-Idaho education available to a greater number of students across the United States and around the world. The number of enrolled students not on campus during Spring Semester 2014, including online and Pathway students, is 12,141. For Spring Semester 2013 that number was 6,852.

This semester the campus student body consists of 6,535 male students and 6,396 female students (50.5 percent and 49.5 percent respectively). The number of married students is 3,591, comprising 27.8 percent of the total campus student population.
