Year-round CalendarA greater number of students are served through creative year-round calendaring.

Imagine a university campus that's busy and active throughout the year. No long stretches during the summer months with empty classrooms and sidewalks. The campus is a hub of constant activity. BYU-Idaho is that kind of campus, thanks to a unique approach to calendaring called the Three-Track System.

School years are divided into three equal, 14-week semesters: Fall, Spring, and Winter. Each student admitted to BYU-Idaho is assigned to a specific academic track composed of two semesters: Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring, or Spring/Fall. Optional classes are also available during a Summer Session.

This innovative calendar facilitates education year-round. Enrollment is consistent across all three tracks, and students receive the same academic opportunities no matter what assignment they receive. This system also helps BYU-Idaho better utilize its campus facilities and offer admission to many more students than a traditional academic calendar would allow.
